Dr. Cory Franklin spent twenty-five years at Cook County Hospital where he
became Director of intensive Care, in addition to his prolific essays in the Chicago Tribune, his pieces also have appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, The New York Times, New York Post, The Guardian, and The Jerusalem Post
He has won a number of awards, including the Shubib-Weil award in 1999 by the

He lives with his wife in north suburban Chicago.
