This volume inaugurates the publication of the biblical Dead Sea Scrolls in the Jewish script from Qumran Cave 4. It contains 26 Hebrew manuscripts of the Bible from Genesis to Numbers, antedating previous texts by 1,000 years. The editors should be thanked for presenting some of the evidence of this `Qumran Bible' in a careful and clear manner.
