"FIDELITY. INTEGRITY. STRENGTH."
These words truly defined God's Courageous Carpenter.
Saint Joseph was chosen by God to be the husband of Mary, the Mother of the Messiah. Two of the Gospels of the New Testament mention St. Joseph very briefly: the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke. Research for this book has allowed the author to amplify what is contained in the Gospels concerning this great patriarch of the Church. That research disclosed the true story of St. Joseph's life, including his struggles with his parents concerning his chosen vocation, his marriage to his first wife, their children, and the death of his first wife during childbirth.
Joseph decided to remain single and celibate after his wife's death, but God had other plans. Joseph became the foster father of the Messiah, and for the next several years his every waking moment was dedicated to protecting the Son of God and his Mother, Mary from the wrath of King Herod the Great. The king considered the Messiah to be a threat to his throne. He spent the last years of his life looking for the Messiah with the intent to kill him. During his life, Joseph experienced many times when his desires differed from the Will of the Lord. This book tells how he addressed those difficulties and how he conformed to the Will of the Lord.
