What is character, and why is it so important?
You might be asking, "Why should I go through an entire Bible study on this one topic?
Character, in its simplest form, is the display of who we are when put under fire or to the test. This is when we see the fruit of who we are shining brightly. The Bible makes it clear that it is important for us to "bear good fruit" in season and out of season. This makes sense because it aligns with the character of Christ. He bore healthy fruit for all to see at all times and persevered through the fieriest of trials a human could face. He showed us that we, too, possess the ability to remain the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, despite the trials and circumstances that may arise.
Matthew 7:18 says, "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit." Trees are symbolic of leadership. We need to be rooted to produce the fruit of the spirit to harvest the souls that are beginning to come to us in waves. Join us and the remnant as we grow and become strong enough in Jesus to press on through any amount of persecution that is here or may come!
"I am fully convinced that now, more than ever, what the Body of Christ needs more than anything else is the Character of Christ."
