Paul wants friends.
But despite having a lot in common with the other children, he doesn't really seem to belong anywhere. Neither with the ducks, nor with the beavers - and certainly not with the frogs.
Completely disappointed, he seeks comfort from his mum. She lovingly takes him in her arms, encourages him and explains to little Paul why he is not just different, but - like every living creature - something very special.
Paul wipes the tears from his face and pulls himself together again. Just in time.
Because at that very moment, he hears someone outside calling his name. His help is urgently needed.
Someone's life is in danger.
