The mystery of alpha occurs in both physics and in gematria-based divination methods (word scoring systems). In Physics alpha is also known as the fine structure constant and is slightly less than 1/137. This is fundamental constant in physics, like the speed of light, but it is even more fundamental in that it is dimensionless (i.e., it's just a number). In ancient gematria-based divination methods, on the other hand, the score 137 occurs for special words. The mystery of alpha in both of these instances is that the origin of these two special numbers, or one (if the inverse is counted as revealing only one special number) is unknown. The mysterious alpha is explained in Emanator Theory, where it also indicates a collection of fundamental structural numbers in the theory that enumerate the different generative 'motions'. These numbers, referred to as the 'Alpha Numbers' are: {4, 9 or 10, 22, 29, 32, 56, 78, 1/137}. As will be seen, these are also the 'Sacred numbers' or 'Kabbalah numbers' from ancient divination methods, where precisely this set of numbers is encoded in the Assyrian Tree of Life (as will be shown), and in the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. This set of numbers also occurs (is encoded) in the familiar Tarot Deck. The mystery of alpha in physics, seemingly solved, reveals an amazing correspondence between the Alpha numbers and the Sacred Numbers (and the mystery of the Kabbalah). This larger mystery will be solved in the book that follows, starting from the physics description, then going to the development of intelligent life, then to the development of linguistic capabilities, up to the ability to play divination 'games'. What is revealed in this exploration is not only the explanation of alpha and the sacred numbers, but also an understanding of the mystery of the Logos, the emergence of human consciousness, and a linkage thereby between science and philosophy/religion. This linkage suggests we are on the cusp of a new Renaissance, where science, religion, philosophy, art, and humanities are about to have explosive growth in a new era of synergistic exploration.
