The Naval Chronicle, published in 40 volumes between 1799 and 1818, is a key source for British maritime and military history. Volume 12 (1805) includes extensive naval intelligence reports from the Mediterranean, Britain and France, together with the fourth and fifth Reports of the Commissioners of Naval Inquiry.
